Unique Beats for Disco Clubs
Love Athletics (Ken Christensen) is a first-generation American musician with roots from Italy and Norway. After a hiatus, he returned to the music scene, blending underground and pop elements in his productions spanning House, New Wave, Disco, Punk, and Cosmic Techno.
Formerly known as one half of East Coast Boogiemen, Ken gained recognition with partner Juan Zapata, landing on URB's Next 100 list in 2000, firmly establishing their reputation as trailblazers within the industry. As the primary producer for ECB, his influence rippled through the pages of Mix Mag, Remix Mag, URB, and other eminent publications.
Following their dissolution in 2006, Ken continued his journey as Ken ECB, releasing over 67 records across 40 labels and gaining global acclaim for his versatility and dedication to his craft, with his music featured in sets by luminaries like Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, Basement Boys, 95 North, and Moodymann.
In 2016, Ken's artistic exploration led to the birth of Love Athletics in the vibrant streets of Los Angeles. Love Athletics transcends genres, offering a transformative auditory experience from new wave rhythms to synth-wave melodies.

In 2024, Ken founded New Human Music—a name he coined after overcoming life's difficulties and lessons learned along the way. He partnered with bandmate Claude McCann, a seasoned key player and local Austin legend.
Together they created a label based on their band projects, the musicians they admired locally from various indie bands, and the community of creationists they've been submerged in living in Austin, Texas. New Human focuses on songwriting, scoring, and artist development.
"Lastly, they wanted to get the best remixers on planet earth to take the releases to dance floors globally."
